The importance of cities in the global economy system is undeniable. Therefore, it’s critical for them to develop strategies to attract, enhance, and retain international talent. According to the Global Talent and Competitiveness Index, the cities in the world that best meet the requirements are Zurich, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, and Helsinki. A study published by Everis in 2015 showed that the main factors in choosing those cities were education, successful businesses, research and innovation, an attractive lifestyle, the economy, and the public administration. In this session, Digital Belgium, Tech Talent Charter, Irish Digital Skills, and AMETIC will explain how they attract and train digital talent in their cities/countries.
