Industrial Engineer by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and PDD by IESE, Carlos Grau has a long career in the field of communication and information technologies, as well as in the development of digital business. After holding various sales and marketing management positions in companies in the ICT sector such as Hewlett-Packard, Accenture, Sun Microsystems or Telefonica, Grau joined Microsoft as general manager in Catalonia.

In recent years, Carlos Grau has focused his activity in the field of innovation, where he has led projects such as Biid, a startup focused on mobile identity, or Step One Ventures, a venture capital that invests in technology companies with high potential of growth. Grau has also been a mentor for entrepreneurs through Barcelona Activa or the Startupbootcamp IoT and Data acceleration program, promoted in collaboration with MWCapital.

In November 2017, Carlos Grau was appointed CEO of the Mobile World Capital Barcelona Foundation (MWCapital).

Daniel is a contributor to some of the world’s largest media outlets, including Forbes, Entrepreneur and The Huffington Post. His Top 10 Digital Transformation Trends for 2021, was recently published in Forbes and recently ranked #1 in the prestigious ARInsights Power 100 list of Technology Industry Analysts. He is considered one of the industry leaders/analysts with the most sustained “buzz” in the industry right now.

Daniel Newman is passionate about helping organizations and individuals understand how to be successful in the age of rapid technological change. He is the Principal Analyst of Futurum Research and the CEO of Broadsuite Media Group. Living his life at the intersection of people and technology, Daniel works with the world’s largest technology brands exploring Digital Transformation and how it is influencing the enterprise.

Mariona Vicens is Head of Innovation and Digital Transformation at the CaixaBank Group. She joined the CaixaBank group in 2012 after previously working at Novartis and McKinsey. Mariona holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from BarcelonaTech (UPC) and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

I am a passionate Tech Leader. I am a fanboy of Lean, Extreme Programming, Domain-Driven Design, and DevOps mindsets with more than 20 years of experience in developing and more than 15 years of experiencing leading tech teams.

I have played various leading roles, such as Tech Lead, VP of Engineering, CTO, and even CEO. I have mentored engineering and product teams up to 150 members in different markets (E-commerce, E-Learning, Payment Processing, Classifieds, Recruiting Market, Supply Chain, and Shared Mobility), in various distributed locations, and multiple company sizes (Start-ups, Established Companies, and Multinational Companies).

As a consultant in my own company, Rigor Guild, I have contributed to the success of start-ups and well-established brands. Some examples are Atrápalo, PCComponentes, Emagister, eBay, PlanetaHuerto, Lowpost, Vendo, Riplife, Omatech, Techpump, and many more.

I am also the author of the book “Domain-Driven Design in PHP” and “CQRS By Example”. I am also a Conference Speaker, and since 2016, I have a video blog about Development Best Practices called Rigor Talks. I also organized the PHP Barcelona Conference and the DevOps Barcelona Conference.

My main areas of expertise are the Agile Team Management (Scrum and Kanban), Best Development Practices (Extreme Programming, Domain-Driven Design, and Microservice Architectures) and Digital Transformation (Agile, XP, and DevOps).

I’m Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) by the Scrum Alliance. I hold other PHP certifications, such as Zend PHP Engineer and the Zend Framework Engineer one. I am also an AWS Architect Associate Certified, and MySQL Certified too.

After earning his Bachelor and MSc in finance at ESADE, Adrià went on to work in business operations and strategic positions at top e-commerce companies like Rakuten and eDreams Odigeo. He then launched his own start-up, and now Adrià has decided to join Ironhack to evolve the concept of education. He started as a General Manager for the Barcelona campus but more recently has also led the Global Sales team and now leading the Global Operations team. He also acts as a start-up mentor in some of Barcelona’s acceleration programs.

Trained as an industrial engineer, after twenty years of technical experience managing distribution networks she was persuaded to move into organising Barcelona’s water. Since then, she has specialised in organisational, efficiency and transformation projects in various areas in management. Two years ago, she also took on talent management and this has enabled her to understand and leverage the relationship between people development and organisational opportunities to achieve real cultural transformation and mentor business challenges.

Ana Baranda has a degree in agricultural engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and PDG from IESE. Her professional career in Zurich began in 2010, serving for several years as CEO at Servizurich, the high-tech IT and operations center of Zurich Insurance Group. She was also the Head of the IT Area of BU Spain for several years.
 
She is currently the Director of Alliances in Zurich Spain, an Area increasingly impacted by new technologies, digital distribution formats and data management, with the aim of meeting the need for transformation of our Partners.
 
Ana is also a member of the Zurich Women Network, and is actively involved in volunteer activities related to youth training and STEM.

Before joining the Zurich Group, she held various executive roles at Accenture and Aon.

Marc Ferré Hausmann is Managing Director of Bayer Service Center Barcelona. A multifunctional center with 660 employees providing IT, Supply Chain, Accounting, Procurement and Order to Cash services globally.

He started his career in Bayer in 2001 and since then assumed various leadership roles in operations and global transformation programs in Barcelona and overseas. Marc comes originally from Spain and holds an MBA from IDEC University and a Degree of Economics and is based in Barcelona, Spain.

Salim is a sought-after business strategist, who presents globally to the leaders of many of the world’s largest companies and Heads of State. He has been featured across a vast array of media outlets, including The New York Times, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Fortune, Forbes, WIRED, Vogue, Fox Business and the BBC. Part of Salim’s magnetism is that he speaks from experience in transforming companies.

These associations give him extraordinary access to the most influential innovators of our time, plus technologies and business ideas while they are in stealth mode.

Salim’s quantum physics and philosophy education combined with his career experience gives him a uniquely macro vision of how the institutions that underpin our society and economy are broken and should be fixed. Ángel Sáenz de Cenzano is currently the General Director of Linkedin for Spain and Portugal. He joined the world's largest professional social network in 2019, to lead the creation of economic opportunities for every member of the global workforce, thus leading the area of Talent solutions in the region.

Xavier Rovira, General Director of Everis Barcelona office, is an Industrial Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, and PADE from the IESE Business School.

Xavier has a long professional career of more than 20 years in the world of business consulting and information technology at Everis, an NTT DATA Company, covering all sectors of the economic field. He combines his position as Managing Director of the Barcelona office with Global Head of SAP & Enterprise Solutions, an area where he has developed a large part of his career.

In addition, Xavier is closely linked with the Association and Col·legi d'Enginyers de Catalunya, having held multiple prominent positions such as the current Presidency of the Digital Society Commission.

Anna Bertoldini is the Global Employer Branding Specialist at Glovo, where she's in charge of the company's employer brand strategy and strengthening Glovo's prestige as a top employer worldwide.

What gets Anna out of bed every morning? The desire to engage and inform people with authentic and captivating content. She always loved a good story — so she made it her mission to help global companies build their brand and communicate their culture, mission, and purpose with authentic and effective storytelling.

She's a globally experienced professional specialized in brand strategy, employer branding, marketing communications, and content management and development. Having worked in Fortune 500 companies such as Disney, Intel Corporation, and BlackRock, she's learned what makes a good brand story.

Josep Aragonés is CEO of Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting in Spain, a world-leading company in the development of management software, information and services in the tax, accounting and labor-areas for professional firms and companies.

Graduated in Mathematics and PDD from the IESE Business School, with more than 20 years of experience in the development and consulting of software and in the management and direction of projects in the banking and insurance sector in the Accenture Group, Aragonés assumed the direction of Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting in Spain, and in 2019 from Brazil.

Tina Alsted Grejsen is the Head of Networks and Communities at SAP, the market leader in enterprise application software, helping companies of all sizes and in all industries run at their best.

Tina works at the SAP Digital Hub in Barcelona, an innovative and unique office of SAP often described as a start-up within the big global cooperation due to its nature of trying new innovative ways of working, helping the world run better and improving people’s lives – as in line with the SAP purpose. Prior to working in SAP, Tina was working in political positions in both Brussels and Barcelona. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Studies from Aarhus University in Denmark and throughout her career she has led cross functional and cross cultural teams.

Joan Manel Martín has been the executive director of the i2CAT Foundation since 2013. In the last five years the institution has doubled its activity volume, continually adapting its organizational structure to meet new challenges and opportunities. Currently, the i2CAT team is made up of more than 100 highly talented people who are committed to making Catalonia a creative, innovative and digitally empowered society through research and innovation in advanced digital technologies.

Joan Manel Martín is a telecommunications engineer by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, a graduate in Business Sciences from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and has executed the Open Innovation & Corporate Entrepreneurship program at ESADE.

In the past, he has taken on different responsibilities in the technological field and has served as head of technology transfer, project manager and head of engineering in the development of telecommunications networks.
