A Data Engineer applies different skills (e.g. AWS, machine learning, automation tools) and processes large amounts of data to transform data into value for stakeholders of an organization.

A Data Engineer builds and maintains all aspects of data, including how it is collected to how it is processed to data reporting and analytics. This involves designing, constructing, configuration and testing of IT systems to improve processes and the response times of the system to achieve optimal use of the IT infrastructure.

The Data Engineer establishes the mechanisms for transforming data from the system while making it accessible to users who require it safely and securely.
